The eldest son of George III, he alienated his subjects with his prodigious spending and contemptuous treatment of his wife Queen Caroline, whom he refused to admit to his coronation. Manuscript DS, boldly signed “George PR” at the top of the first page, nineteen pages on twelve sheets, 7.75 x 12.5, March 23, 1813. A document, signed by George as Prince Regent on behalf of George III, ordering the Great Seal of Great Britain to be affixed to a “Treaty of Concert between His Majesty and His Good Brother the King of Sweden.” The articles of the treaty (in French) are incorporated into the document. The paper seal remains intact on the first page. In fine condition, with a touch of mild edge wear. R&R COA.
