Early “boy wonder” of golf (1908–1963) who, at the age of twenty-one, played on the 1929 PGA tour and won eight of twenty-two events, as well as finishing second six times. He was also the winner of the first Masters tournament, held in 1934, and won again in 1936. Vintage fountain pen signature, “Horton Smith,” on an irregular off-white 4 x 1 slip affixed to a card with a typed caption and magazine photo.
