TLS signed “John Kennedy,” one page, 8 x 10.5, personal House of Representatives letterhead, November 15, 1952. A letter of thanks to a supporter named Francis. In full: “I am sure you know how much I appreciate all of your efforts during the past months of this campaign. We would never have been successful against the Republican sweep, I am sure, if it had not been for the untiring efforts at Headquarters of the ‘Volunteers.’ I am especially grateful to you for your help, and I am looking forward to having the opportunity to thank you personally. I hope you will let me know if there is anything I can do.” After signing, Kennedy makes a handwritten addition: “Many thanks Francis.” The top edge bears a light penciled notation of authenticity (“OK C.H.”) from Charles Hamilton, the renowned autograph expert who published an extensive study on Kennedy’s signature. In fine condition, with intersecting mailing folds and light wrinkling. COA John Reznikoff/PSA/DNA and R&R COA.
