Clear ink signature, “James K. Polk,” on a white 6 x 7.5 album page, no date [circa 1835–1837]. An early collector (most likely the original recipient) has added the notation “Speaker of the House” beside Polk’s name and the heading “Autographs of Members of the 24th Congress” at the top of the page. Seven other congressmen have also signed on both sides of the page. In fine condition, with a touch of mild toning and faint show-through from signatures on reverse. COA John Reznikoff/PSA/DNA and R&R COA.
