Scarce and most desirable 3.5 x 5.5 French postcard photo, a portrait of the seated author with a pencil in his hand, signed and inscribed (in French) in ink in the lower border. The reverse is addressed in another hand and postmarked 1903. One of the most appealing examples you’re ever likely to encounter! In fine, crisp condition, with a very subtle touch of soiling and slightly irregular ink flow to first letter of signature, which is otherwise clear and distinct.
