One of the most coveted literary prizes! Mitchell signs Gone With The Wind, the year it was published

Author who wrote only one novel—the classic and immensely popular Gone With the Wind—a best-seller which won her the 1937 Pulitzer Prize and became one the popular films of all time. Atlanta’s “greatest and most beloved citizen” was killed prematurely by a speeding car which struck her as she was crossing a street with her husband. Signed book: Gone With The Wind. NY: Macmillan Company, 1936. Hardcover with dustjacket, 6.25 x 8.5, 1037 pages. Signed and inscribed in fountain pen on the first free end page, “Mr. and Mrs. John M. Thomas, Sincerely, Margaret Mitchell, Atlanta, Ga.
