Guest book, hardcover, 7 x 10.5, signed by Truman on one decoratively printed page which is dated in another hand April 17, 1923, and signed on a different page, “Harry S. Truman, Indp. Mo., 2 August 1948” and, two entries lower, “Bess W. Truman, Sept. 22, 1948.” The book originated with the Jobes family of Kansas City and bears their gilt-stamped name on the cover. Both of the Truman-signed pages (and other pages throughout the book) bear the signatures of several others.
