Description

King of France (1830–1848). He ruled after the overthrow of the Bourbons in the July Revolution and abdicated during the Revolution of 1848. ALS in French, signed “L. P.,” one page, 5 x 8, November 26, 1832. Letter to Dupin, president of the Chamber of Deputies. In full (translated), “I have not yet had the time to read the writing which you entrusted to the queen; nevertheless I am already reminded by her that I must thank you again, but it seems to me there is an error (in fact) in my response which I wanted to relate to you, and our discussion of last evening caused me to forget it. I want only to ask you to give me the opportunity to discuss it with you as soon as possible. Good evening, until tomorrow, if you can, or whenever you can.” In fine condition, with a bisecting horizontal fold. R&R COA.
