Lansing Second Lieutenant in the twenty-ninth regiment of the Infantry. Signed at the conclusion in black ink by Madison and countersigned by Secretary of War, James Monroe. Document is affixed to a slightly larger board. In very good condition, with strong and bold signatures, cracked but intact seal, pencil notation to top right, previous folds and some scattered soiling and toning.
