Impressive matte-finish 18 x 15 Harris-Ewing photo, the top margin bearing the calligraphic inscription “President Taft and his Cabinet, May 1, 1911,” signed in fountain pen, “Wm. H. Taft” and also signed by the nine other men pictured: Franklin MacVeagh, George W. Wickersham, George von L. Meyer, Philander C. Knox, James Wilson, Jacob M. Dickinson, Charles Nagel, Walter L. Fisher, and Frank H. Hitchcock. Attractively matted and framed with an engraved plaque to an overall size of 29.5 x 34.25. In very good condition, with some faint rippling, small brushes to a few signatures (not Taft’s), light scattered soiling, and several scattered marginal stains, none touching signatures.
