Ivory treasure: Stunning large photo of one the greatest keyboard artists in history

Polish pianist, composer, and politician (1860–1941) whose abounding talent and personal magnetism made him one of the most popular virtuosi of all time. In a career move that remains unique in the annals of classical music, Paderewski served for a year (1919) as Prime Minister of Poland before resuming an ultra-successful career as a concert artist. Penetrating vintage matte-finish 7.25 x 9.5 photo on a 10 x 12.75 mount, signed and inscribed on the mount in fountain pen, “I. J. Paderewski, 29/XI 1915.” Matted and framed to an overall size of 13.5 x 16.5. In fine condition, with faint bend and short edge tear to mount (well away from signature) and a touch of wear to edges of photo. R&R COA. Featured collection item.
