Sculptor noted for his monumental works, particularly the busts of four U.S. Presidents on Mount Rushmore. Vintage matte-finish 7.75 x 9.75 photo of a miniature model of Robert G. Ingersoll done by Borglum, signed along the bottom in fountain pen. Pencil notation on reverse, done in another hand, read, “Statue Colonel Robert G. Ingersoll by Gutzon Borglum to be erected in Washington by Freethinkers.” Reverse also bears a stamp date of June 5, 1933.
