Famed Union general (1828–1914) who was awarded the Congressional Medal of Honor in 1893 for his service as commander of the 20th Maine Regiment at Gettysburg. Bank check, 6.25 x 2.75, filled out and signed by Chamberlain, payable to Robert Bowker, Administrator for $60.14, April 17, 1882. Matted with a reproduction photo to an overall size of 11 x 17.
