First-person ALS signed in the text, “Mrs. Cosway,” one page, 4.5 x 7.25, November 9 [no year]. In part: “Mrs. Cosway’s compliments to Mrs. Perregaux & has written to Mr. Hammersley on the subject. She now incloses a note to him & one to Mr. Conway & hopes every thing will be settled. If he has not had the 20£ returned it is his fault for not having settled the account at the time she took it….
