A signer of the Constitution seeks payment

Signer of the U.S. Constitution from Pennsylvania. ALS signed “Thos. Fitzsimmons,” one page, 7 x 9, May 8, 1786. Fitzsimmons writes to James Searle, Esq. In part: “I have received your favor of the 5th & am sorry to inform you that Ms. Swanwirthe has not yet received any remittance from Mr. Shand for the India goods.” The adjoining sheet bears the integral address panel written in Fitzsimmons’ hand. In very good condition, with folds, light toning, a few small edge chips, a small hole to text (repaired from the reverse and affecting a few words), and tears and holes to address panel. R&R COA.
