Partially printed DS, signed “Wm. H. Taft,” one page on vellum, 15 x 19, May 12, 1910. A handsomely engraved document appointing Henry M. Sazelle “Brigadier-General on the retired list of the Army.” In very good condition, with usual folds, a few adhesive remnants to margins (well away from text), and Taft’s signature rather light yet fully legible.
