Cartoonist who took over the Popeye comic strip in 1958. Printed sketch of Popeye (with hand coloring) on a white 6.5 x 9 sheet, signed and inscribed in black felt tip, “Ahoy, John … eat yer spinach! Bes’ wishes from Popeye an’ Bud Sagendorf ’83.” In fine condition, with a few very subtle bends to background. R&R COA.
