Big business marches on in the midst of the Depression: “It is imperative that our Industrial Council be completed as soon as possible”

Automotive mogul and founder of the Chrysler Corporation. TLS signed “W. P. Chrysler,” one page, 7.25 x 10.25, personal letterhead, May 27, 1932. Chrysler writes to Mark T. McKee, Executive Director of the Department of Labor. In part: “I suggest that you have a meeting with Mr. Winchell and Mr. Watson; and try and have Mr. Hutton get Mr. Kelly up to the meeting. Whatever you decide will be satisfactory to me…. I agree with Commander Stevens that it is imperative that our Industrial Council be completed as soon as possible.” In fine condition, with usual mailing folds, small rust stain from staple, and very faint scattered foxing.
