Seaborg signs a speech on “The Atom’s Future in Space”

Nobel Prize–winning chemist (1912–1999) who was instrumental in the discovery of several elements. Element 106, Seaborgium, was named in his honor in 1994, the first such distinction ever bestowed upon a living person. Lot of two items: vintage printed copy of a keynote address given by Seaborg titled “The Atom’s Future in Space,” 8 x 10.5, 13 pages, August 23, 1966, signed in black felt tip on the first page, “Glenn T. Seaborg”; and a TLS on Atomic Energy Commisson letterhead, December 21, 1966, transmitting the address. In fine condition, with usual mailing folds, a few bends to letter, staple to address, and a few small rust stains to both. R&R COA.
