Extremely rare ALS signed “Neil,” one page, 5 x 8, no date. Thank you note to a friend. In full, “What a surprise to receive your care packages! Many thanks for thinking of us up here in the Arctic! Hope you have a great ‘91. Let us know if you come this way.” What makes this item so desirable besides the near uniqueness of the letter is the fact that it has two multi-colored 29-cent First Moon Landing stamps, which picture none other than Neil Armstrong. The stamps are cancelled with very decorative portraits of Armstrong, Aldrin and Collins along with the lunar module. Additionally there is the famous first footprint which cancels the stamp to the card. The stamps were added July 20, 1994, on the first day of issue of a 29-cent stamp celebrating the 25th Anniversary of the Moon Landing. In fine condition. Accompanied by the original mailing envelope, addressed in Armstrong’s hand. COA Scott Cornish and R&R COA.
