Sheet of unsigned handwritten speech notations, done by Kennedy in blue ballpoint on an 8 x 5.75 lightly lined off-white sheet. Kennedy pens over forty words in his difficult to decipher hand, which read, in part, “June 1953…June 1954…France made an agreement which…pending for election……the Geneva Accord has given the French commander the responsibility of maintaining order - I protect my democratic liberties.” Accompanied by a 1992 TLS from Evelyn Lincoln, Kennedy’s personal secretary, attesting to the notes were written by Kennedy at his desk in the Senate Office Building in October of 1955.
