In full, “Concurrently herewith, you are lending the sum of $25,000.00 to the undersigned, receipt of which is hereby acknowledged. The undersigned agrees to repay said loan to you, together with interest thereon, at the rate of four (4%) per annum, on or before January 5, 1962. Said load is evidenced by a promissory note, in the sum of $25,000.00, bearing interest at the rate of four (4%) per annum, executed and delivered by the undersigned to you concurrently herewith. As security for the repayment of said loan, together with accrued interest thereon, the undersigned agrees to and does hereby assign to you all moneys hereafter payable to the undersigned by Ashton Productions, Inc. pursuant to paragraph 4 (e) of an employment agreement dated July 1, 1958, relating to the motion picture entitled SOME LIKE IT HOT, as amended March 16, 1959, payment of which moneys has heretofore been guaranteed by you to the undersigned pursuant to Guaranty Agreements dated September 30, 1958 and March 16, 1959. The undersigned hereby authorizes you to apply in repayment of the aforesaid loan, together with accrued interest thereon, the next moneys otherwise payable by you to the undersigned pursuant to the aforesaid Guaranty Agreements.” Signed at the conclusion in blue ink “Marilyn Monroe.” Accompanied by a copy of the check from the United Artists Corporation and a copy of the letter which accompanied the check.
