Lot of two items: TLS on a 6.25 x 4.25 vice-presidential notecard, August 25, 1986, sending thanks to an admirer and sending a signed item [not present]; and a TLS on a 6.25 x 9 sheet of personal letterhead with an embossed gold eagle, March 24, 1995, sending thanks for a letter and mentioning, perhaps ironically, “I continue to marvel at some of the items that end up on the collector’s block.” The second letter is accompanied by the original mailing envelope.
