Chaplin gets in the Christmas spirit by helping the less fortunate and “wishing the Santa Clause Mail all kinds of success.”

TLS signed “Chas. Chaplin,” one page, 8 x 8, personal letterhead, December 6, 1916. Letter to an Olive Wilson Hammer, acknowledging “with many thanks, the receipt of your letter and have ordered to be shipped to you from New York something that I am sure will meet with your pleasure as gifts. Wishing the Santa Clause Mail all kinds of success.” Two vertical mailing folds, one through a letter of signature, partial separation along a horizontal fold under signature, trimmed bottom edge and mounting remnants to reverse, otherwise fine condition.
