Longtime baseball manager who, with 1892 wins, ranks eleventh on the all-time list; he was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1962. Lot of three vintage fountain pen signatures and sentiments on various slips: “Best wishes to Sam, W. B. McKechnie”; “With best wishes to Sam from W. B. McKechnie, Cin. Cinnati [sic] Reds, 1944”; and “W. B. McKechnie” on a closely trimmed slip mounted to a larger sheet with a small newspaper photo.
