Seuss-sational lot of three unsigned ink storyboard sketches from the animated classic How the Grinch Stole Christmas, 6.25 x 5.5, 1966. The three panels, each on a sheet with the printed legend “M.G.M Animation/Visual Arts,” show successive images of a girl taking a doll from a box, pulling the doll’s string, and the doll screaming, “Ouch!” All three sketches are matted and framed together with an engraved plaque to an overall size of 26.5 x 13. Original Grinch-related art has become increasingly difficult to obtain in any form. In fine condition, with a few subtle brushes, and small losses to a few corners of the sheets, completely confined to the borders. R&R COA. Oversized.
