Signer of the Declaration of Independence from Pennsylvania. ADS, signed “Geo: Ross,” one page, 7.25 x 5, July 24, 1762. A receipt for payment evidently awarded in a legal action. In part: “Andrew Steen & John Scott Rec’d of Mr. James Potter Ten pounds being so much Money as his Father has Charg’d himself to have rec’d in this Action.” In fine condition, with light toning, folds (away from signature), a few scattered spots, and a narrow strip of paper affixed to margin of reverse.
