Ink sentiment and signature, “Yours sincerely, Alexander Graham Bell,” on an off-white 8 x 9.75 sheet of letterhead from the inventor’s summer home in Nova Scotia. The sheet actually contains a typed letter dated October 18, 1899, sending congratulations to a recently elected member of the National Geographic Society; however, as the typed portion has faded considerably (though it remains legible under close examination), we are instead offering this item as an example of Bell’s desirable signature. Accompanied by an engraved plaque. In very good condition, with a few light spots (away from signature), folds (one touching signature) and slight feathering to ink. COA John Reznikoff/PSA/DNA and R&R COA.
