Lot of two items. A one page DS, in German, 8 x 7, signed in pencil, “Rommel,” dated January 5, 1942, as Rommel promotes four soldiers; and a one page ALS, signed “Montgomery of Alamein,” dated April 9, 1964 on Field Marshal letterhead. Montgomery sends a letter of thanks regarding the television program Portrait of a Soldier. Both are double matted together with color images of each officer, to an overall size of 30 x 20. In fine condition, with a light overall shade of toning and two punch holes to Rommel’s document. COA John Reznikoff/PSA/DNA and R&R COA. Oversized.
