The Red Baron poses with four of his contemporaries

Top German aviator in World War I known as the Red Baron. He shot down 80 enemy planes before being killed in action in 1918. Vintage 5.25 x 3.5 Sanke postcard photo of five of the best World War I German aces: Vizefeldwebel Festner, Leutnant Schäfer, Leutnant Frhr. von Richthofen, Leutnant Wolff and Rittmeister Frhr. von Richthofen, signed in fountain pen by Richthofen, “Frhr. v. Richthofen.” The postcard bears German correspondence on the reverse, dated May 7, 1917. In fine condition, with trivial slipping to two strokes of signature and a touch of light silvering. R&R COA.
