Description

Massachusetts lawyer who served as one of the prosecutors of British soldiers during the Boston Massacre trial; he later signed the Declaration of Independence. DS, signed “Paine,” one page, 3.75 x 6.25, August 1769. An itemized receipt or bill apparently related to a client’s legal expenses, including charges for “Service,” “Entry & dues,” “Attendance 10 days,” and more. In fine condition, with light folds and some very faint offsetting, no faults near or affecting the clear signature. R&R COA.
