Original nicely done signed pencil sketch of Texas Guinan on an off-white 6.75 x 8.5 lined sheet from Crumb’s personal journal. Sketch is signed “R. Crumb, April 12, ‘62.” Reverse of page bears a lengthy handwritten journal entry by Crumb, dated March 4-10, 1962, recounting a rather heated encounter over yearbooks with Sister Mary Noel, “Instead of cutting up Father Haugh this week, I believe I shall start on Sister Mary Noel…She got rather emotional over the fact we junior boys were not contributing our two cents…to next year’s yearbook. She was almost in tears over the crisis. I, of course, started immediately voicing my opinions on the originality of high school yearbooks…This of course started a volley of arguments ending with a big yell and screaming debate.” In fine condition.
