Jesse Owens proudly lists his Olympic accomplishments and world records

Best-remembered Olympic star of all time. He is famous for his world-record success in the 1936 Olympics in the face of racial discrimination. Vintage fountain pen signature, “Salt Lake City, Jesse Owens, Berlin Germany 1936 Olympics, Aug 3-8-36,” listing his times and distances in the 100 and 200 meters and the broad jump, and adding underneath “All world records made May 25, 1935,” listing his times and distances for his world records in the 100 and 200 yard dash, the 220 low hurdles and the broad jump, on an off-white 5 x 3 page, dated August 26, 1945.
