Made her triumphant American debut in 1933 with the Chicago Opera Company's production of Aida at the Hippodrome in New York City. Caterina's distinguished career included appearances in Paris, Madrid, Vienna, Warsaw, Moscow and many of the great opera houses throughout the world. Lovely vintage matte-finish 9 x 11.5 photo, signed and inscribed in purple fountain pen “To my very dear pal Larry, Katherine, Paris, April 20–28.” In fine condition, with clipped corners and light corner bends (which can be matted out), a faint spot to background, ink notation in another hand to lower right corner, and just a hint of soiling.
