Born Giovanni Battista Montini. Elected Pope in 1963. As pope, he issued encyclicals for clerical celibacy and against artificial birth control. DS, in Italian, signed “G. Document recognizing and nominating Pietro Palazzini, to the Supreme Tribunal of the Apostolic Signature (del Supremo Tribunale della Segnatura Apostolica). Signed at the bottom in blue ink by the future Pope. After Cardinal Montini became Pope he created Pietro Palazzini as a Cardinal in 1973. Pope John Paul II eventually presided over his funeral when he died in October 2000. In fine condition, with a bisecting horizontal fold. R&R COA.
