Earlier oath of office, signed by Naval Commander Lyndon B. Johnson

DS, one page, 8.5 x 11, October 19, 1949. Carbon document of acceptance and oath of office in which Johnson swears to uphold the Constitution as a Commander in the U. S. Naval Reserve. Nicely signed in blue ink by Johnson. Accompanied by a newspaper photo of Lt. Commander Johnson shaking hands with Air Force Generals Martin Scanlon and Ralph Royce in New Guinea in 1942, signed in ballpoint by Scanlon. In fine condition, with two sets of punch holes to top and small pencil notation to bottom right. COA John Reznikoff/PSA/DNA and R&R COA.
