In 1944 he was implicated in a plot to assassinate Hitler; given the choice of suicide or trial, he took poison. DS, in German, signed “Rommel,” two pages, 8 x 11, Kommando der Panzergruppe letterhead, October 10, 1941. List of nineteen soldiers up for a commendation, signed on the second page in pencil by Rommel. Impressively matted and framed with a photo of Rommel, an Afrikacorps cuff title and a sterling silver Knights Cross, to an overall size of 31.5 x 20. In fine condition, with punch holes to left edge, expected folds, pencil marks to each entry and a couple small notations. R&R COA. Oversized.
