Signed book: The Life Of Donald Duck. NY: Random House, 1941. Hardcover with dustjacket, 8.5 x 11.5, 72 pages. Boldly signed and inscribed in fountain pen on the reverse of the title page, “To Enrique E. Ewing, With my very best wishes, Walt Disney B. A. 1941.” The “B. A. 1941 stands for Buenos Aries, Argentina. Walt Disney and a studio entourage made a 1941 public relations trip to South America at the request of the United States government to firm up western hemisphere allegiances during World War II. Disney also used this opportunity to gather input for future film projects. Interesting to note that the book had an original sales price of $1.00. In fine condition, with foxing to the boards and wear, tears, and chipping to the jacket; interior pages are unaffected and Disney’s writing is beautiful. COA Phil Sears and R&R COA.
