A second cousin of Lucille Ball, Suzan Ball embarked on a promising Hollywood career with appearances in several adventure films in the early 1950s. Though she was diagnosed with cancer in 1953 and lost her leg to amputation, Ball went on to marry actor Richard Long and to resume her career. She finally succumbed in 1955, at the age of twenty-one. Gorgeous hand-tinted color matte-finish 11 x 14 photo of Ball in her wedding dress, signed and inscribed in fountain pen, “Best wishes to Claire from Suzan Ball.” In fine condition, with light corner bends and a touch of edge wear.
