Football coach responsible for devising the double-wing formation, the “Pop Warner League” is named in his honor. ALS signed “Glenn S. Warner,” one page, 8.5 x 11, personal letterhead, January 5, 1933, to James McIntrye, a former player under Warner. In part: “Thank you for your assistance in interesting some good football prospects in going to Temple. I feel that I have made a good move…At Temple, I feel there is a chance to materially better their football situation. I have been told that they make it pretty easy for boys of outstanding football ability to go to school there. I would appreciate it if you would contact that outstanding quarterback you mentioned and report results.” In very good condition, with toning at edges and folds, a couple of areas of trivial soiling, a few creases toward the upper right .
