Description

Laemmle commends a youthful fan of The Hunchback of Notre Dame

Founder of Universal Studios and one of the most influential figures in the earliest years of the American film industry. TLS, one page, 8.5 x 11, Universal Pictures Corporation letterhead, May 26, 1924. Laemmle sends thanks, mentions two of his movies, and comments on children as moviegoers. In part: “I thought it was very nice that a boy fourteen years old was interested enough in our pictures to write and tell me how much he enjoyed two of them, The Hunchback of Notre Dame and Fools’ Highway. I like to get letters from boys and girls, and I like to make the kind of pictures that please them.” Accompanied by original mailing envelope. In fine condition, with usual folds and light toning / soiling / wear at edges. R&R COA.
