Born Archibald Alexander Leach in Bristol, England, in 1904, the dashing young stage actor was rechristened Cary Grant by Paramount Studios for his big-screen debut in 1932. Scarce, early, and highly desirable matte-finish 8 x 10 photo, signed and inscribed in fountain pen, “To Vangie, Good luck, darlingest, Archie Leach.” In fine condition, with moderate contast to portion of inscription and signature, a few trivial surface impressions, and very faint rippling at left and right edges. A stunner! R&R COA.
