Vintage 9 x 7 photo of Karloff sitting and having his Frankenstein monster make-up applied by Jack Pierce, signed in fountain pen, “Boris Karloff.” Double matted and framed to an overall size of 15.25 x 13.25. In fine condition, with several light bends and creases, some small areas of light silvering to dark areas and a few dings to frame. Signed photos of Karloff as the monster are nearly impossible to find, at best, and represent one of the pinnacles of signed photos, not for just the horror collector, but the entertainment enthusiast as well.
