An Elderly Katharine Hepburn Confesses ““I am getting slightly feeble-witted about names...”

Lot of two TLS, each signed by Hepburn in black ink. Both letters are dated 1991, addressed to “Dr. West” and are on her personal “Katharine Houghton Hepburn” stationery. In part: “I am getting slightly feeble-witted about names and I can’t tell you whether or not I know Harriet Carter - But I remember the incident - The book - your book - sounds fun.” The second TLS reads, in part, “Yes of course I know Harriet Cook - She did a lot of work with Dad - sincerely, Nick’s no good - Congratulations!” Accompanied by a photocopy of a letter from the recipient to Hepburn as well as a greeting card to “Dr. West” from Mary Semans. In fine condition. R&R COA.
