Vellum DS as president, one page, 15.75 x 9.75, July 1, 1831. A land grant issued to James Wallace of Perry County for eighty acres in Cahaba, Alabama. Countersigned by Elijah Hayward, commissioner of the general land office. In very good condition, with scattered soiing, three vertical folds through the large (six inch!) signature, a rough bottom edge, a separation at the bottom of a fold near but not touching the signature and an intact seal.
