Eisenhower pokes fun at a silly photo of himself golfing: “Judging from my expression and stance, it looks like I must have been hitting a short chip shot and am quite unhappy with the results”

TLS signed “D. E.,” one page, 8 x 11, personal letterhead, June 30, 1964. Letter to Edgar Garbisch commenting on a photo he sent to Eisenhower. In part, “I have signed the picture you sent to me. Judging from my expression and stance, it looks like I must have been hitting a short chip shot and am quite unhappy with the results.” In fine condition, with expected folds and a small pencil notation to top right. R&R COA.
