Commemorative cover, 7.5 x 4, with a cachet honoring Man In Space, signed across the front in blue ballpoint by Gagarin. Accompanied by two original photos, one of the two covers he signed and one of Gagarin taken immediately after signing. Accompanied by a collector’s statement reading “During an unofficial visit from Cosmonaut Yuri Gagarin on July 27, 1961, he and his party stayed at the Curacao Intercontinental Hotel. He was on his way to Cuba. While staying at his hotel, he agreed to sign two envelopes. The picture was taken just after Gagarin signed the two envelopes.” Signatures and photos were obtained by a police lieutenant in charge of security during Gagarin’s stay at the Hotel Curacao-Intercontinental in 1961. This could well be the only photographically documented Gagarin signature! In fine condition. R&R COA.
