Fanny Brice Grants Dollmaker “Baby Snooks” Rights

Comedian, singer, and entertainer. During the late 1930s, she had her own radio show which featured her as a bratty toddler known as "Baby Snooks." DS, one page, 8.5 x 11, William Morris Agency letterhead, October 31, 1938. In part: “The licensors Fanny Brice and Loews… grant to the licensee Cameo Doll Co. the right to use the name ‘Fanny Brice’ and the name “Baby Snooks’ in the manufacture and sale of dolls but the licensors reserve unto themselves the right to grant licenses for the use of the name ‘Fanny Brice’ and ‘Baby Snooks’ in connection with any other products whatsoever…” In fine condition, with usual file holes to top border, light ege toning, a few faint creases not affecting the bold Brice signature.
