Spielberg Signed Document Relating to the Death of Actor Vic Morrow in Twilight Zone Accident

Director of box office hits Jaws, Jurassic Park, E.T. and many others. The film The Twilight Zone may best be remembered for the controversy and subsequent trial that surrounded the deaths of actor Vic Morrow and two Vietnamese extras, six year old Renee Chen and seven year old Myca Dinh Lee. DS, eight pages, 8.5 x 11, December 1983. Agreement relating to the death of actor Vic Morrow on the set of the Twilight Zone film which Spielberg produced. Contract between defendants Warner Bros. and plaintiffs Carrie Morrow and Jennifer Jason Leigh. Actor Vic Morrow was killed during the shooting of a helicopter scene in the film. Morrow’s family sued Spielberg and Warner Bros. for both negligence and omission that they claimed, according to the contract, resulted in Morrow’s death. This contract is directly related to his death and the ensuing trial. In part: “On or about October 12, 1982, Plaintiffs Carrie Morrow and Jennifer Jason Leigh filed a complaint against the Release Defendants in Superior Court of the United States of California…which Complaint alleges certain negligent, intentional or other tortious acts or omissions resulting in the death of Plaintiffs’ father, Vic Morrow.” Signed “Steven Spielberg” in blue ink on the last page. Also signed by Jennifer Jason Leigh and Carrie Morrow in ink on page six. R&R COA.
