Queen Juliana announces her rise to the throne

Queen of The Netherlands (1948-80). On the German invasion of Holland (1940), Juliana escaped to Britain and later resided in Canada. She returned to Holland in 1945, and became queen on the abdication of her mother, Wilhelmina. She herself abdicated in favour of her eldest daughter, Beatrix. DS, in French, signed 'Juliana,' one page both sides, 8.25 x 13, October 30, 1948. Juliana announces her mother's abdication and her accension to the throne. Nicley signed on the reverse in black ink. Red pencil notation to front and a couple of storage folds, otherwise fine condition. COA John Reznikoff/PSA/DNA and RRAuction COA.
